Welcome to GeoNest – Environmental and GIS Advisory

GeoNest brings a passion for the sound stewardship of our planet together with a range of important environmental advisory experience into one nest.  This includes experience in the fields of Geographic Information Systems and Earth Observation, Water Resources and Catchment Management, Aquatic Ecology, Ecosystem Services, Ecosystems Based Adaptation, Environmental Monitoring and Information Systems and Climate Change Risk and Vulnerability.

GeoNest is based in Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, in the heart of the uMngeni River catchment. This is one of the most important catchments in South Africa, supporting the economic hubs of Pietermaritzburg and the eThekwini Metro.

We work in the applied research and consulting space and offer a wide range of services aiming to be innovative and to bridge the gap between research and practical implementation. Our work is always tailored to the demands of the project or contract and always science or best practice based.
